You can try your luck with parking at the Tulip Festival this weekend -- or you can avoid the headache altogether and hop on a bus there for free.
The city of Albany, NYSUT and Capital District Transportation Authority are offering free CDTA day passes for use to to travel to Tulip Fest this Saturday and Sunday in Washington Park.
Passes are available at participating local McDonald's restaurants in the Capital Region.
A CDTA shuttle will be continuously available May 10th and May 11th from 12 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Eagle St. garage and Elk St. lot, according to the City of Albany's Office of Special Events.
The free pass program supports awareness of using public transportation as an environmentally friendly way to travel, and is promoting the "Green Theme" to be highlighted at the Wellness Garden, a new addition to this year's festival, according to the press release from the Special Events office.
