Despite numerous efforts to get geese to settle elsewhere, the fowl have returned to Scotia’s Collins Park. Now officials from Save the Geese are trying a new four-legged approach to shoo the animals. The group is paying for the lease and training of a Border Collie who will patrol the park this summer. The State Health Department has given the okay to reopen Collins Park Beach on June 2nd. Contamination, attributed to the geese, has shut down the beach in the past.
