A Clifton Park middle school student has been diagnosed with H1N1, according to the school district's web site. The teen is a student at Acadia Middle School in the Shenendehowa School District.
No word on how he got the disease or his/her current condition.
The district says that they have been advised by the state and local health departments that they do not need to shut down the school, but advise any student or staff member with flu-like symptoms to stay home and are consulting with them on the proper ways to clean the school.
Flu like symptoms include: fever (over 100 degrees), cough, sore throat, runny nose or stuffy nose, muscle plain, fatigue, and sometimes vomiting or diarrhea.
