Beatles tribute band, writer David Sedaris slated for Palace Theatre in 2010
ALBANY -- The Palace Theatre has announced two new events at the venue for next year.
"Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles" will be playing at the Palace Theatre on Feb. 25, 2010 at 7:30 p.m.
Rain covers Beatles songs, including favorites like "Let It Be," "Hey Jude," "My Guitar Gently Weeps," "Come Together" and "Buy Me Love." The concert is described as a "multi-media, multi-dimensional experience, and a fusion of historical footage and hilarious commercials from the 1960s lights up video screens and live cameras zoom in for close-ups."
Tickets will sell for $47.50, $37.50 and $27.50 when they go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Nov. 30. Palace members will be able to buy them beginning at 10 a.m. on Nov. 23.
Also announced, humor writer David Sedaris will be returning to the Palace Theatre on April 12, 2010 at 8 p.m.
Sedaris is the author popular books "Naked," "Barrel Fever," "Me Talk PRetty One Day," and "When You Are Engulfed in Flames."
Tickets will sell for $44 and $40, and can be purchased beginning at 10 a.m. on Dec. 4. Palace members will be able to buy them beginning at 10 a.m. on Nov. 23.
