State police say that one woman, who is believed to be from New York City, died in the accident.

The Associated Press reports that Glen Falls Hospital officials say three victims are hospitalized in fair condition and six others were treated and released.

The crash occurred just south of exit 21, the Lake George-Lake Luzerne exit.

The DOT says the northbound lanes were closed but have been reopened.
