The news couldn't be coming at a better time: the Peerless Pool at the Saratoga Spa State Park will finally open this Friday.

As the area braces itself for a heat wave this weekend, local pools can probably expect to draw the sweltering masses.

Anticipation's especially high for Peerless, a popular pool at the Saratoga Spa State Park, which was supposed to open back on June 28th.

The Victoria Pool, also located in the State Park, has been open since then.

Starting Friday, both pools will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends. They close an hour earlier during the week.
