A new YMCA is opening its doors in Fulton County, and Sen. Chuck Schumer was on hand Tuesday morning to tour the facility.

Sen. Schumer helped secure $150,000 for the new facility in 2006.

It's expected to be a key community resource, providing affordable daycare after school and senior citizen programs and youth and family service.

The new YMCA will also offer housing for the homeless.
