Soldier's mother learning more about daughter's death
Shooting killed Amy Seyboth Tirador four weeks ago
The mother of Staff Sargeant Amy Seyboth Tirador says whoever shot her daughter was smart. "It was made to look like a suicide," says Colleen Murphy, "but I know it's not."
Tirador's death, according to the military, happened on November 4th and was non-combat related.
Her parents have said she was shot in the back of the head on a military base in Iraq, and they say it was not an accident and not a suicide.
On the phone Thursday, Murphy said she had heard new information about her daughter having been on her way to work at 8 p.m. on November 3rd but never making it to the building that contained her office.
Instead, Murphy says, Tirador's body was found in a different building around 1 p.m. the next afternoon.
Murphy says she expects military investigators to come interview her sometime next week, at her request. She said she feels the investigation cannot be thorough unless input from her daughter's family is part of it.
