Police have tentatively identified the body pulled from the Hudson River in Warren County this morning as that of missing 42-year-old Kevin Thomason.
Thomason, of Queensbury, was reported missing Monday by an acquaintance who had dropped him off Saturday evening along the banks of the river near the Hartman Hill area. She intended on picking him up Sunday, August 2nd at noon, but Thomason never showed up at the designated meeting area, according to the Warren County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's officers, Department of Conservation forest rangers, and search and rescue team members initiated the search Monday and continued into this morning.
At around 9:00 a.m. this morning, the Sheriff's Office received a report from Brookfield Power Company reporting a human body found inside the water intake building at the Sherman Island sub-station.
The body presumed to be Thomason's has been taken to Albany Medical Center to undergo an autopsy.
