Police: Women caught shoplifting at Wilton Mall with kids

Police arrested two women in a shopping mall parking lot over the weekend for stealing more than $800 worth of merchandise while with their children.

State Police say 34-year-old Tanya Looney, of Hudson Falls, and 21-year-old Ashley Robinson, of Queensbury, were arrested in the parking lot of Wilton Mall after with $891.06 worth of items stolen from seven different stores inside the mall.

The stolen merchandise was returned.

Police say the women had their children with them while shoplifting.

Looney and Robinson are charged with petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a minor. Both are scheduled to appear in court in July.
