DiNapoli sets Aqueduct slots review deadline
ALBANY -- They're nearing the finish line in the long fight over New York's biggest slot machine operation.
The State Controller’s Office now says it will complete its review of the plan to put in thousands of the machines at the Aqueduct Race Track no later than next Tuesday.
All of the other parties involved -- the governor, the legislature and the attorney general -- have already signed off on the deal with Genting.
It will mean hundreds of millions of dollars for the state and for the racing industry.
The Controller’s Office says it has some more questions it wants the lottery division to answer before it makes a decision.
