The Montgomery County Sheriff's Department has announced the arrest of a level 1 sex offender.

Police arrested Shane Reid, 23, of Dolgeville, after an investigation revealed that from June 2008 to September 2008 he had sex with a 16-year-old girl in the village of Palatine Bridge.

Reid is a level 1 sex offender registered in Fulton County and he's currently on probation there.

He is being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on 10 thousand dollars cash bail.
