Proposed Property Tax Increase of 68% in Glenville

The Glenville town supervisor said his proposal to raise the property tax to 68% was simply meant to make a point.

Supervisor Frank Quinn presented a budget Wednesday night that would increase spending 16.1 percent.

Quinn told the Daily Gazette he wanted to show the board what would be needed to move forward without serious cuts.

In the end, Quinn said, he hopes to propose a budget with only a three percent tax increase.
