I am an immigrant who used to prepare immigration applications. Americans should wake up: We are not the prosperous nation we used to be! We cannot keep adding 3 million more people a year to the U.S., mostly due to immigration-related increases, who need jobs, health care, education and many other social services. Although some immigrants are great assets to the U.S., we must enact some sort of immigration moratorium, enforce our immigration laws across the board, and work on curbing teen pregnancies totalling 750,000 a year nationwide. It is IRRESPONSIBLE to keep borrowing from China and other countries, or to keep taxing hard working Americans, to finance our current and future needs. Many American immigration advocates now have been laid off due to budgetary shortfalls. Their kids are being placed in overcrowded schools. The United States' priority is U.S. and foreign-born citizens. Foreign governments should get their acts together, with the help of their own billionaires, and improve life for their own citizens.
