A worker at a residential home in Gloversville is facing charges after stealing prescription drugs from the home over a period of six months, police say.

Jeanne Burnett, 47, is accused of stealing the drugs from Lexington Center, where she was employed as a support coordinator. Police say over the past six months, Burnett took Lortab tablets, which were being prescribed to clients, and replaced them with other pills. Burnett would then sign off on the control drug sheet as a supervisor stating all drugs were accounted for.

Burnett has been charged with felony first-degree falsifying business records; misdemeanor petit larceny; and misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Burnett was arraigned and released on $5,000 bail.
