Funeral services tomorrow for Albany-area Army pilot
Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning for an Albany-area native who died in a helicopter crash in Iraq earlier this month.
The body of Army Captain Timothy Moshier arrived last night at Albany International Airport. Members of his family and a military honor guard were on hand when the flag-draped casket was carried from the cargo area of the commercial flight.
The body was transported to a funeral home in the Albany suburb of Delmar, where calling hours will be held at a church this evening. Funeral services are set for tomorrow morning.
Moshier and Chief Warrant Officer Michael Hartwick of Missouri were killed on April first when their Apache helicopter went down outside of Baghdad. Military officials have said the helicopter may have been shot down by hostile fire.
The 25-year-old Moshier was a 2002 graduate of West Point.
