A 31-year-old immigrant from Mexico has pleaded guilty in federal court in Albany to illegally re-entering the U.S. after he was deported.
Jorge Saldana-Tello was arrested in Troy last November after he was caught by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials. He had previously been deported from U.S. back to Mexico five times between 2002 and 2006.
Saldana-Tello is scheduled to be sentenced May 6th. He faces a maximum sentence of imprisonment for up to ten years, supervised release for up three years, a fine of up to $250,000 and a special assessment of $100.
