Police arrest 7; seize over 1,500 fake designer goods at Warrensburg Garage Sale

Seven individuals were arrested Sunday for selling counterfeit goods

Seven people were arrested at the Warrensburg Garage Sale Sunday after they were caught selling fake designer goods, the Warren County Sheriff's Office announced Monday.

The seven individuals, none of whom are from the area, were observed by police officers selling counterfeit versions of designer handbags, purses and wallets at the garage sale Sunday.

The merchandise bore counterfeit logos and trademarks of luxury brands like Coach, Chanel, Dolce and Gabbana, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Dooney & Bourke.

Police seized over 1,500 handbags and wallets and over $19,000 in cash.

Arrested were:

- 30-year-old Xin Jiang of Staten Island, NY
- 30-year-old Zheng Jiang of Staten Island, NY
- 58-year-old Zhou Mu Jiang of Brooklyn, NY
- 30-year-old Xaio Ping Tang of Flushing, NY
- 54-year-old Cheryl Rabinowitz of Englishtown, NJ
- 55-year-old Jan Rabinowitz of Englishtown, NJ
- 66-year-old Carol Knapp of Middletown, NY

All were charged with felony second-degree trademark counterfeiting. According to the Warren County Sheriff's Office, all posted bail and are due to return to court Oct. 15th.
