The former high school principal dismissed from her job after being arrested on menacing charges last summer has been arrested again, State Police announced today.
Fifty-five-year-old Mary Petrilli of Clifton Park, the former principal of Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School, was arrested last August for a domestic incident in which she allegedly threatened someone with a 12-inch kitchen knife.
She was put on leave following the arrest, and eventually replaced by acting principal Richard Wheeler.
Petrilli was again arrested yesterday, June 17th, for violating an order of protection issued by the Town of Schodack Court. According to State Police, Petrilli broke into a home and destroyed the resident's property.
Petrilli was arrested for burglary, criminal contempt, possession of burglar's tools and DWI. The DWI charge stemmed from a breathalyzer test result showing .17% BAC.
Petrilli was arraigned in Town of Schodack Court and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail on $20,000 bail.
