CBS6 has learned there is one reported case of the H1N1 virus at Jefferson Elementary School in the Schalmont Central School District. A letter was sent home to parents Friday, saying a student has fallen ill with the virus, and is currently under a doctor's care. That student, who has not been identified, is not currently in school.
As a precaution the school is taking additional cleaning measures in areas frequented by that student. This new reported case has not caused the school to close.
The district has posted the letter sent home to parents on Schalmont Central School District website: http://www.schalmont.org/Jefferson/Jeffersonhome.htm
