Red Cross helps 13 after Albany fire

ALBANY - Thirteen people received comfort kits from the Red Cross after an evening fire in Albany.
Albany fire crews were at the scene of the fire at 41 Watervliet Avenue at around 6:30pm. According to the Albany Fire Department it took crews about a half an hour to knock the fire down. The damage was was contained mostly to the attic.
Officials say no injuries were reported but one woman had to be assisted out of the building by fire crews.
The red cross reported that they helped two families with food, clothing, and housing after the fire.
An investigation into the cause of the blaze is ongoing.
