Significant Snow Event Likely Later Sunday Night Into Monday

WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT STARTING 9PM SUNDAY UNTIL 6PM MONDAY.  This includes the Capital District and all of the region except Hamilton, Northern Herkimer, Northern Warren, and Northern Washington Co. where a Winter Storm Watch is in effect for those locations. A developing winter storm will bring snow to the area starting later Sunday night and into Monday. Accumulations of 7 or more inches appear likely. Travel for the Monday morning rush hour stands to be affected by this storm, with slippery roads expected.

Jury decides fate of accused Schenectady murderer

SCHENECTADY -- Jurors are back at it in Schenectady, continuing to deliberate the fate of James Wells.
The 30-year-old Brooklyn man is charged with murdering Schenectady High basketball star Eddie Stanley, 15, who was gunned down at a late night house party back in June 2011.
Prosecutors say Wells was trying to get his car keys from other party goers, and when they refused to be frisked, he opened fire and killed Stanley.
Wells testified that he was armed and pulled a gun, but never fired it.
His attorney, Cheryl Coleman, says her client is not prepared to spend the rest of his life in prison for a crime he didn't commit.
Wednesday marks the second full day of deliberations.
