NEW YORK CITY -- Governor Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio are butting heads over minimum wage.
In his State of the City address on Monday, De Blasio called on the state to grant the city power to raise its minimum wage and tax rates. On Tuesday, Governor Cuomo said that is not a good idea.
The Governor says that having different tax rates in cities would not be productive, as cities would try to steal business from one another. Cuomo says it could cannibalize the state economy.
