Albany Police investigate two shootings overnight

ALBANY - Albany Police are investigating two separate shootings overnight Sunday in Albany.
The first shooting took place at around 2:15 a.m. An officer on patrol heard the shots around the area of Elk and Lexington Avenue.
Police say the victims are a 16-year-old girl and a 20 year old male. Both were treated on the scene and transported to Albany Medical Center where they are listed in stable condition.
At around 3:40 a.m. Police say a 30 year-old man was shot in the 400 block of South Pearl Street.
The victim, Jahmel Forbes, was taken to Albany Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Police do not believe the shootings are connected, and an investigation is ongoing.
