ALBANY -- Activists gathered on Tuesday to call for change to elections in New York State.
Several groups called on Governor Cuomo and legislative leaders to include campaign finance reform in this year's budget. Reforms would include public financing for campaigns and new, lower contribution limits. They say the changes would limit special interests' influence on elections.
Opponents argue that hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars should not go to politicians' campaigns.
