Free breakfast and lunch meals around Capital Region

When school closes for the summer, your children ages 0-18 can enjoy free breakfast and lunch meals.

ALBANY

The City School District of Albany once again is participating in the Summer Food Service Program, with free meals for all children 18 and under at three schools across the city. The summer meals program is operating at the following district schools:

• North Albany Academy, 570 North Pearl St.

o Breakfast from 8:30-9:30 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

o July 6 through Aug. 13

• Giffen Memorial Elementary School, 274 South Pearl St.

o Breakfast from 8-8:30 a.m. and lunch from 12:30-1 p.m.

o July 6 through Aug. 20

• William S. Hackett Middle School, 45 Delaware Ave.

o Breakfast from 8-9:30 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

o July 6 through Aug. 20

COHOES

Free summer meals programs will be operating July through August at two sites in Cohoes. Your children can just walk in.

COHOES MIDDLE SCHOOL Monday –Friday
July 7, to August 16, 2010
Breakfast served: 8:00-8:30 Lunch Served: 11:30-12:15

VAN SCHAICK SCHOOL Monday- Friday
July 6 to August 13, 2010
Breakfast served: 8:00-8:30 Lunch Served: 11:30-12:15

All food MUST be eaten in the schools! If you have any questions please feel free to call the Cohoes School Lunch Office at 237-9100 ext 1412, 1411.

The school lunch program is operated in accordance with U.S. Department of Agriculture policy, which does not permit discrimination because of race, color, sex, age, handicap or national origin.
