In Monday's New York Post, political analyst Fred Dicker reported on a showdown that was avoided at the Capitol.
Weeks ago, opponents of the new gun laws said that they would rally at the Capitol on Thursday.  Late last week, members of the hospital workers union said that they would bus supporters of gun reform to the rally.  Members of both sides said that could lead to a dangerous counter-rally situation.  However, plans for that counter-rally may have been put on hold.  Dicker: February 25, 2013
