SOCKS WANTED: Sock drive held for homeless in Schenectady

SCHENECTADY -- Socks may not come to mind during the summer, but one organization wants
you to know how important socks are for people living on the streets.
City
Mission is participating in a nationwide sock drive for the
homeless.
Elizabeth Chamberlain, Development Director at City Mission, said
foot issues including fungus and infection are common among people living in
shelters.
City Mission is excepting donations through September 3rd at SEFCU on State Street, Athology
Studio, the Paul Mitchell School, the Schaffer Heights Apartment building, Bow
Tie Cinemas and several local churches.
All the socks donated will go to
