Developing Storm: Snow To Increase in Coverage and Intensity After Midnight

A major Nor'easter now developing off the mid Atlantic coast will put eastern New York and western New England on its western side through Tuesday.  Snow will become steadier from SE to NW across the region after midnight and towards daybreak Tuesday with snowfall of varying intensity through Tuesday evening.  A gusty NNW wind from 20-30 mph at times will cause blowing and drifting of the very dry snow creating poor visibility and hazardous travel conditions into Tuesday night. General Storm accumulations in the Capital Region of 8"-14" are expected.

Most eateries have their specialties, those dishes they do
really well.

At Fast Trax on Route 67 in Ballston Spa, there are plenty
of house favorites. But their specialty?

Well, it doesn't come on a plate.

“It’s like a little vitamin shot of positivity.”

Kelly Mapes is one of the owners of Fast Trax, as well as
manager, director of marketing and most importantly, vice president of

Kelly says she wants to make sure customers have something
to balance all the negative news we hear about on a daily basis.

In addition to Kelly's bubbly personality, they've covered
one of their 4 walls with a mural full of positive messages.  There's an uplifting quote of the day. The
theme is fun, all related to trains.  And
the food is fun.

But there's more.  Max,
short for Maximum Potential, is the Fast Trax canine mascot and main character
in Kelly's children's book that's currently being illustrated.  The story follows Max on a train ride to the Macy’s
parade in New York City.

“He meets a bunch of obstacles, mountains and valleys and
through it all he hears the toot toot of the engine,” Kelly say, “and it
reminds him he’s getting there, still on his way.”
