Health Concern at Local Resort
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The State Health Department says that 27 people have reported illness, including vomiting and diarrhea for up to 24 hours, after visiting the indoor water park at the Great Escape resort this past weekend. Great Escape Spokeswoman Diane O'Connor says that they have received calls from a small percentage of their guests reporting that they are ill.
On Monday, the Dept. of Health inspected the facilities, and found nothing out of the ordinary - but the Great Escape is taking appropriate measures to fully clean and disinfect the facility.
If you stayed at the resort and came down with an illness, the State Health Department asks you to contact your local county health department, who will coordinate the cases with the state.
