Water Rescue in South Glens Falls

At approximately 6:30pm Wednesday, Saratoga County Emergency crews were dispatched for a water rescue on the Hudson River for three people in a raft that had been stuck on some rocks for a time being.

South Glens Falls Fire found the victims in the area of the Fenimore Bridge who had encountered difficulties maneuvering their raft over rocks in a shallow portion of the Hudson River.

No one was injured but all three were transported to Glens Falls Hospital for possible exposure.

Daniel W. Campbell, Christopher M. Wheeler, and Nicholas G. Montelone were, however, issued citations for being in a watercraft without life jackets and a citation for exceeding the capacity of the vessel.

The three subjects will answer their tickets at a later date in the Town of Moreau Justice Court.
