PHOTO GALLERY: New store Evoke Style opens in Stuyvesant Plaza
GUILDERLAND -- If you're a woman 30 years and older who wants to dress fashionably but don't want to look like you’re trying to be 17 again (or approaching your golden years) there's a new boutique just for you.
Evoke Style, in Stuyvesant Plaza, is trying to reach women who want to jazz up their outfits with cute and affordable accessories.

Sandra Dollard, the store’s owner, said she wishes to give women the ability to accessorize their outfits with stylish accents while giving back to the community in the process. Dollard said the store is for women who would like a classically modern twist to their wardrobe.
While preparing to open the store Dollard spent time searching for the right items to feature at Evoke Style.
She spent months in focus groups and looked to complement items from other stores in the plaza. Most of the gifts are designed by and for women but there are also accessories for men. All the gifts are priced below $50.
Evoke Style also offers handmade Italian and Spanish shoes as well as locally produced jewelry.
Dollard is trying to keep the boutique community oriented and will be hosting fundraising events for various charities in her storefront.
The first fundraiser, which is slated for later this month, is for a group of volunteers known as Community Care Givers.
"I want the money to stay within the community and to stay with local charities," Dollard said.
She said she would like to do a fundraiser once a month for local charities to try and raise awareness and get people interested in their mission.
The Evoke Style boutique is located between Provence Restaurant and Beck Furs.
Dollard said she hopes that her new store will be a hit as she aims to bring the people what they want.
