Forty-four-year-old Thomas Elliott of Sarasota, FL was arrested late last night after police discovered Elliott has been driving while intoxicated when he drove his 2006 Ford pick-up into the pole on Valley Woods Rd. near the intersection of Horicon Ave.

Police say Elliott was speeding while driving his pick-up northbound on Horicon Ave. and failed to negotiate the turn on to Valley Woods Rd.

Elliott was taken to Glens Falls Hospital, where he was charged with misdemeanor DWI, and issued citations for speeding and failing to wear a seat belt.

He is scheduled to appear in Bolton Town Court at a future date.
