New York State Humane Association offers $500 reward in duct-taped beagle case

The New York State Humane Association says it is offering a reward of $500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who bound a pet beagle in duct tape and left her to die in the Saratoga County woods.

The beagle, named Daisy, had been missing for two weeks before she was found by a hunter on his Saratoga County property. Her head, midsection and front paws were wrapped in duct tape.

The hunter took the dog to a veterinary clinic, where a microchip implanted under the dog's skin helped locate her owners.

The NYSHA has set up a reward fund for anyone who wishes to add to its $500 pot. They can be sent to:

New York State Humane Association
PO Box 3068
Kingston, NY 12402

The Humane Society of the United States is already offering a reward of up to $2,500.
