Police in Amsterdam arrested two city residents yesterday on drug charges after a two-month investigation into drug activity in the Garden St. area.
Jose Leon, 21, and Jessica Taber, 24, were arrested after a 15-member police team executed a search warrant at their residence late Wednesday night.
Investigators accuse the two of selling and distributing narcotic drugs in and around the Garden St. neighborhood.
Leon was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell; Taber was charged with delony fourth-degree conspiracy.
Police seized packaged cocaine, drug paraphernalia and around $750 in cash from their home.
Taber was a temporary worker of the City Court, assigned to traffic tickets. She was issued an appearance ticket to appear later this month.
Leon was held without bail pending arraignment.
