Sobriety checkpoints in Albany County tomorrow
Albany County District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that a DWI enforcement effort will be conducted at unknown locations around Albany County starting tomorrow evening.
The last two sobriety checkpoints conducted by this task force resulted in over 50 alcohol related arrests and 450 other violations according to the Soares.
The 16-agency task force consists of members of the Office of the Albany County District Attorney, the Albany County Sherriff's Department, the New York State Police, the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, the Albany Police Department, the Coeymans Police Department, the Green Island Police Department, the Guilderland Police Department, the Menands Police Department, the Watervliet Police Department, and the University at Albany Police Department.
