CRIME TRACKER: Robbed at gunpoint in Schenectady
Comments 0 | Recommend 0He was held at gunpoint and ordered to hand over anything of value.
"I reached out my hand to tell him it was all right," said Ashley Lemay of Schenectady, explaining how he was robbed in the Mont Pleasant neighborhood Sunday night. "He threw his hand back, pulled a bandana over his face and the next thing i hear is click-click -- and there's a gun in my chest."
Lemay was robbed at gunpoint after asking three male teenagers he did not know to leave his front porch.
The teens then demanded everything in Lemay's pockets, including his cell phone and wallet. They then followed him inside and ransacked his apartment.
Meanwhile, Lemay's friend was outside with the gunman and the gun pressed against his chest.
"I didn't know what to do," he said. "I basically said you can have whatever you want -- please just don't hurt me and don't hurt my little brother, that's it. "
The three teenagers got away from Lemay's place with two iPods, a cell phone, cash, an MP3 player and a $250 bike.
Then, as soon as they were done with Lemay, they robbed another home around the corner on Holland Road, according to police.
Police say it's unlikely these cases will ever be solved because of the vagueness of the descriptions of the suspects. Police are looking for three black teenagers wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and bandanas, and believe they get around on bicycle.
