Substitute teacher arrested after attempting to arrange for sex
GUILDERLAND -- A 28-year-old man who works as substitute teacher in several local school districts has been arrested for allegedly arranging to meet with two 14-year-olds for sex, State Police announced Monday.
Nicholas Cramer of Albany was arrested on charges of felony attempted dissemination of indecent material to a minor and misdemeanor attempted endangering the welfare of a child.
According to police, Cramer made arrangements with the two girls "for the purpose of engaging sexual conduct."
Cramer is a substitute teacher at several local area school districts. As part of the investigation, State Police say they are contacting school administrators and agencies that have employed Cramer in an attempt to idenitfy any possible additional victims.
Cramer is currently being held at the Albany County Jail on $25,000 cash bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 26.
