Police: Man used Craigslist to offer prostitution services

A 50-year-old Cohoes man has been arrested on charges of sex abuse and prostitution after an undercover investigation found he was advertising sex services on the classifieds website Craigslist.

Albany County sheriff's investigators say Keith Comire advertised massages under the name of "Erik" to men, women and couples, charging between $60 to $75 a session.

Undercover investigators posed as customers and set up an appointment at Comire's home, where they later received an illegal massage from Comie, who's not licensed in New York to perform massages.

Comire "inappropriately touched" the investigator during the massage, at which point Comire was arrested.

Comire was previously arrested in 2007 when he paid an individual in Chickasha, Oklahoma $5,000 to have sex with that person's five-year-old stepdaugher. Comire was charged at the time with felony obscene sexual performance of a child.

Comire now faces felony unauthorized practice of a crime, misdemeanor third-degree sexual abuse and misdemeanor prostitution in the latest case.

Police say they were tipped off to Comire's business by concerned citizens, and are continuing their investigation.
