Children Burned in Albany County

TWO CHILDREN WERE BURNED TONIGHT IN THE TOWN OF BERNE -- APPARENTLY WHILE PLAYING WITH GUNPOWDER ONE BOY WAS AIRLIFTED FROM WOODSTOCK ROAD TO WESTCHESTER MEDICAL CENTER WITH SERIOUS BURNS TO HIS FACE. THE SECOND BOY SUSTAINED ONLY MINOR BURNS, AND HE WAS TAKEN BY AMBULANCE TO A LOCAL HOSPITAL. ALL OF THIS INFORMATION COMES TO US FROM THE WESTERLO FIRE CHIEF. TONIGHT, THE ALBANY COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT IS INVESTIGATING PRECISELY WHAT HAPPENED, AND THAT AGENCY IS NOT RELEASING ANY NAMES OR DETAILS. WE'RE NOT SURE IF ANYONE WILL BE CHARGED WITH WRONGDOING.
