Bethlehem Police tell CBS 6 News they received a call reporting a fire at Alteri's Restaurant at 312 Route 9W in Glenmont around 1:45 AM.
Upon aerrival, firefighters found smoke coming from the exhaust fans in the rear of the building.
A stretch of Rt 9W in the area of the fire was closed for almost six hours as firefighters from Selkirk and numerous mutual aid companies fought the blaze into the predawn hours.
A team of investigators from the State Office of Fire Prevention and Control and the Albany County District Attorney's Office determined the fire to be accidental with electrical origin.
There were no reported injuries.
