List of proposed roundabouts in Capital Region

If you've driven through Malta in the last year or so, you know all about going in circles.

Five roundabouts were built there back in 2006. And if you just got the hang of those, get ready for seven more.

Here are the proposed state-owned roundabouts:

- Curry Road / Round Lake Bypass in the town of Malta (Saratoga County). Status: Construction. Projected opening/construction: 2009.

- Route 9 / Route 67 / Round Lake Bypass in the town of Malta (Saratoga County). Status: Construction. Projected opening/construction: 2009.

- Route 9 / Stone Break Road in the town of Malta (Saratoga County). Status: Design. Projected opening/construction: 2010.

- Route 67 / New Town Road in the town of Malta (Saratoga County). Status: Design. Projected opening/construction: 2010.

- Route 146 / Route 7 in the town of Rotterdam (Schenectady County). Status: Design. Projected opening/construction: 2010.

- Glenridge Rd. & Maple Ave. in the town of Glenville (Schenectady County). Status: Design. Projected opening/construction: 2009.

- Route 4 & Route 151 in the town of East Greenbush (Rensselaer County). No status or projected opening listed.

 

Here are the proposed locally owned roundabouts:

- Dunning St. / Fox Wander in the town of Malta (Saratoga County).

- Dunning St. / Plains Rd. / Hermes Rd. in the town of Malta (Saratoga County).

- Erie Blvd. in the city of Schenectady (Schenectady County).

- Boght Rd. & Johnson Rd. in the town of Colonie (Albany County).

- Maxwell Rd. & Albany Shaker Rd. in the town of Colonie (Albany County).

- Old Wolf Rd. & Old Niskayuna Rd. in the town of Colonie (Albany County).
