Two arrested in Cobleskill business break-ins

Two men have been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries at businesses in the Cobleskill area, State Police announced today.

After two weeks of investigation, State Police arrested 21-year-old Justin Pethick of Howes Cave and 22-year-old Todd Wetsell of Cobleskill on burglary charges.

Pethick and Wetsell are accused of breaking into several businesses, including the Pro Shop at the Cobleskill Country Club and Borealis Restaurant.

Wetsell and Pethick were arraigned in Town of Cobleskill Court and remanded to the Schoharie County Jail. Wetsell's bail was set at $5,000 cash bail.

The bail for Pethick, who is on parole for a previous burglary at the Cobleskill Country Club, has been set at $10,000 cash bail pending the filing of a parole violation.

Police say additional arrests are expected.
