Albany International Airport
Flights have been cancelled because of storms around the country. The airport advises you to check your flight before heading to the airport. Visit the airport's Web site for the latest information on arrivals and departures.
SNOW EMERGENCIES
Albany County
- Albany (City): All normal parking rules and regulations have been temporarily suspended. Through 8 p.m. Thursday, all vehicles must be parked on the even-numbered side of the street. From 8 p.m. Thursday through 8 p.m. Friday, all vehicles must be parked on the odd-numbered side of the street. The snow emergency will be over at 8 p.m. Friday. For a list of parking lots being made available by the city, click here. Recycling collection will be suspended during the snow emergency. Trash should be placed out as usual. - Green Island (Village): A snow is underway. During that time vehicles must be moved from village streets. Residents may park their cars at Veterans Memorial Stadium, Ford Motor Company parking lot, Honeywell/Bendix lot, Cannon Street, Hudson Avenue Municipal lot, Cornerstone municipal lot, and the LaFayette park lot.
Columbia County
- Hudson (City): Cars should be parked on the odd side through 8 p.m. tonight.
- Broadalbin (Village): A snow emergency was declared at 3 p.m. Thursday. Until further notice, parking between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. is limited to the even side of the street on even days and the odd side of the street on odd days. This ban applies to all streets except for Main St. in the business district. Parking is still prohibited on all streets (both sides) from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., and on Elman St. 24 hours a day until May 1st.
- Gloversville (City): The city of Gloversville will be under a snow emergency until midnight tonight (Thursday). During that time no vehicles may be parked on any city streets. All vehicles on the street will be ticketed and towed.
Rensselaer County
- Castleton (Village): A snow emergency will be in effect for three or more inches of snow. The four major hills will be cleared first with no parking allowed on either side of the street. Odd/Even parking will be in effect on village streets. * From Scott Avenue to the Village Hall- the west side will be cleared first. Residents need to park on the east side until the snow stops and the west side is cleared. * From Scott Avenue north to the village line- the east side will be cleared first. Residents will need to park on the west side until the snow stops and the east side is cleared. * Additional parking is available at the village parking lots, on the north side of the DPW Van Buren Avenue garage and the firehouse and church parking lots.
- East Greenbush (Town): A snow emergency is now in effect. Residents may not park on any public street during the emergency. The snow emergency will be lifted when the storm is over and all streets have been cleared.
- North Greenbush (Town): A snow emergency has been declared in the town until further notice. No cars should be parked in roadways for the duration of the emergency.
- Troy (City): The city of Troy has NOT declared a snow emergency, but city officials are asking downtown residents to move their cars into city owned garages overnight. Residents of Little Italy and Washington Park can also park in the Little Italy Marketplace beginning at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Saratoga County
- Saratoga Springs (City): A snow emergency is underway. Except for those streets posted for alternate-side parking, vehicles may not park or stand for a continuous period in excess of 12 hours. Vehicles on all city streets must be moved to a plowed or cleared area every 12 hours.
- Waterford (Town): A snow emergency continues through 9 a.m. Friday. During that time alternate street parking is in effect. No vehicles may be parked on the odd side of the street Friday. On Thursday no vehicles can be parked on the even side of the street.
MASSACHUSETTS
The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency is operating a limited activation of the State Emergency Operations Center.
- Lenox
The emergency ends today at noon. Any vehicles parked on any streets will be towed at the owner's expense.
