Children injured when ride breaks at Jeepers

Several children were injured this afternoon around 4:30 when a wheel broke on small children's roller coaster at Jeepers at Crossgates Common. 

The Albany Fire Department was called after several children received minor injuries when a wheel broke on the indoor roller coaster, causing it to come to an abrupt stop. 

When firefighters arrived, employees at the facilty already had all of the children off the roller coaster. 

Two children were brought to Albany Medical Center for treatment of lacerations. 

All of the other injured were treated by Fire Department Paramedics at the scene and released to their parents. 

The ride is temporarly shut down until it is inspected by the appropriate authorities. 

The cause of the wheel breaking has not been determined as of yet.
