Charge dropped against Schenectady cop

June 29, 2009 - 9:37 PM

The Schenectady County District Attorney, Bob Carney said that one charge was dropped against a suspended Schenectady Police officer in court today.

Carney said that the charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle was dismissed against Officer Kyle Hunter.

Hunter appeared in front of Judge Guido Loyola Schenectady City Court today, who dismissed the charge after the complainant, Hunter's girlfriend at the time of the incident, did not show up.

Carney said the charge did not stand up in court without the witness present.

Hunter still faces charges stemming from another arrest.
