Ravena teens facing burglary charges
Four Ravena teens are facing burglary charges after police say they skipped school and went on a burglary spree.
The teens, ages 15 to 17, skipped school last Thursday and broke into homes on McCulloch Ave. and Bleezarde Terrace and then tried to break into a home on Carey St., according to police. The resident at that home called police and said someone was trying to break into her home.
When police searched one of the teens homes they found the stolen property from the homes.
All four teens were charged with two counts of burglary in the 2nd degree, attempted burglary, grand larceny and possession of stolen property. The 16 and 17 year-olds were arraigned in Ravena Village Court and sent to the Albany County jail on $5,000 bail. The two 15 year-olds were turned over to the juvenile authorities and were placed under house confinement.
