Husband Charged in Claverack Murder

The body found underneath a trailer in Claverack in Columbia County Wednesday belongs to 27-year-old Angela Morgan.

Police have officially charged 37 year old, Arthur Morgan Jr., Angela Morgan's ex-husband, with 2nd degree murder. He was arraigned in Claverack Town Court and is now in the county jail without bail pending further court action.

Police searched the home of Arthur's parents' home, also in Claverack, early Friday morning.

Angela Morgan was reported missing last week after failing to appear in Columbia County Family Court for a court proceeding. The investigation stated that on or about March 30th, Angela Morgan died at the mobile home as a result of a domestic physical altercation with her husband.

Her body was found at her home on Route 9-H.
