Glens Falls Armory up for auction again
Comments 0 | Recommend 0GLENS FALLS -- The Glens Falls Armory will again be offered for auction, this time in a sealed-bid auction scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 16.
The Armory failed to attract bids in an auction last month.
All sealed bids for the upcoming auction must be received before 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15, said the state's Office of General Services, which is conducting the auction. Minimum bid is $350,000 and site inspections will be offered by appointment only, says OGS.
OGS will open the bids at the Corning Towner in Albany on Dec. 16. Attendance at the big opening ins not required.
The 38,000 square-foot armory is a multi-story building located 147 Warren Street in Glens Falls. It was built in 1894, and declared surplus by the Division of Military and Naval Affairs in July.
