Schenectady brothers arrested for Strong St. knife attack

SCHENECTADY -- Police have arrested two brothers for an assault late last month in which the male victim required over 100 stitches.
According to police, the men attacked a 25-year-old man on Oct. 26 in front of 815 Strong St. The victim was cut in the face with a large knife, requiring over 100 stitches.
Jose Luis Vazquez, 29, was charged with felony first-degree assault and misdemeanor second-degree menacng. His brother, 26-year-old Manuel Vazquez was charged with felony first-degree assault.
Both are scheduled to be arraigned before a city court judge Thursday.
